Print the pictures below in black and white, cut out and paste onto thick cardboard, and make your own chess-board. Or else, if you already own your own game of chess, often on the other side of the board there is a checker-board, and pieces for checkers are included too.
In that case: paste the cut out symbols to the underside of your checkers-pieces: you need 16 of the white ones and 16 of the black ones. Use The Chess-side of the board though!
The symbols below are double: there is a full set in bold lines (bottom ones) and a full set in thin lines (the top ones). For ease of the "novice" the "regular" symbols for the non-Asha chess pieces you may already be familiar with are depicted in small version below the names of all the Major pieces (Back Row); all the others are comparable with "pawns". N.B.: The black symbol for earth (worm) has a spelling-mistake: it reads bareness instead of barrenness (otherwise it would not fit onto this format of picture).
