Seventh exercise:

Say: "May all of my cells and organs be supple, for the glory of our Heavenly Father"

Symbolism: Good deeds (Huvarasjta: the purification of all of our body, that of everyone of the Brotherhood, and in the end of all of humanity, in service to the Heavenly Father, so it may increasingly better serve, as a solid intention): First swing the arms forwards, then bend the body backwards and in the meantime say the above saying. Try to bend over backwards as far as possible, without falling... Breath: during this exercise, always breathe in when bending backwards, so the spine gets some support by the "cushion" of air in the lungs, and breathe out while bending forwards. N.B.: people with back trouble should be careful with this exercise!

Those movements are made six times; making them we may visualize that we are working on all the six different levels of energy of our bodies, to make them supple, and so we think during each successive time, while visualizing the appropriate colour, of our :  

  1. Material Body: visualize Red
  2. Astral Body: visualize Orange
  3. Mental Body: visualize Yellow
  4. Causal Body: visualize Green
  5. Buddhic Body: visualize Blue
  6. Athmic Body: visualize Dark blue

By doing this, we will not loose count so easily. Whoever hears about those diferent "bodies" for the first time here: there is aa very good explanation about them in "The New Earth" by Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov, available from the Universal White Brotherhood Editors, Prosveta (see our Links page ).

How to do it:

 

1: Move the left foot slightly forward. 

 

2: Keeping your weight on your left leg, bend the left knee and lean forward and downwards, while simultaneously taking a long step backwards with the right leg. 

 

3: Raise your arms forcefully so that they extend  forward and slightly upwards, palms forward, in line with your body, then bring your right foot slightly forward. In the meantime breathe in; this will prevent forcing the lower spine by bending too far. (This part of the exercise is mainly for the muscles of belly and lower back).  Then stand up again: breathe out again.

 

4: Bring your right foot slightly forward until it is just behind the left, while simultaneously returning to an upright position. 

 

5: Bend your right knee slightly as you stretch your trunk backwards (bending back as far as possible) and let your arms hang down freely on either side. Meanwhile, breathe in fully again; this offers support, so it will be easier to straighten up again. (this part of the exercise is mainly for the chest and muscles of the upper spine).

6: Straighten up...

 

7: ...and return to position 2. Repeat movements 2 to 6 five times.

 

8: At the end of the sixth movement, bring your right foot level with your left foot and your arms straight down on either side.

 

Now that all of our being is pure and works together with all of the laws of Nature and Cosmos, the small 5-pointed star: the Microcosm we are, is shining steadily within the unlimitedly bigger 5-pointed star: the Macrocosm, in which we are now active points!..
