P.27/28:
Before embarking on the activities of the day, you should sit down quietly and
allow peace to flood into you; establish a harmonious contact with the whole
universeand with God your creator, and, by prayer
and meditation, consecrate your day to him.
Here is an exercise you
can do every morning:
Raise your right arm, your
hand outstretched, and imagine that you are projecting your astral hand up to
the very throne of God. Then say: 'My God, all I have is yours; make use of me
for the triumph and glory of your kingdom. I promise to do your will. May your Love,
Wisdom, and Power (the
"Trois
Flambeaux": may also be regarded
as the Angel of Love, the Angel of Wisdom and the Angel of Power!) manifest themselves through
me.' (N.B.: so it is very apt here, to do
the communion with one of the angels before the meditation, like Jesus taught in
the Gospel of Peace).There will be days when you
are incapable of repeating this formula wholeheartedly; you sense that there is
something in you that refuses to give way. You must try to reach the point of
being able to say these words in all sincerity, not just from time to time, but
every day.
Blessed are those who can
say, 'My God, I am your servant; do what you will with me.'
THE EVENING, Preparing
for sleep
P.39: The
importance of the last waking moment
Disciples
know that the way in which they prepare for sleep is very important, because it
is the night that determines what the following day will be. Before going to
bed, therefore, they put themselves in touch with the invisible world
... and finally they commend themselves into the hands of the Angel of
Death-this is the name that the Cabbalah gives to the Angel of Sleep for each
night we die and each morning we rise from the dead...
P.41: The Cabbalah tells us that when someone goes to sleep, an unclean spirit
attaches itself to his physical body and tries to suggest certain ideas or desires to him; its purpose is to get
hold of his body in order to use the vital forces it harbours. But you can
defend yourself from unclean spirits by asking for an angel from heaven
to look after you (this is
exactly as Jesus teaches in the Gospel of Peace of the Essenes for the
communions with the Angels of the Heavenly Father; the way this works is very
well described here!) and lead you to the divine school on high,
where you will study love and wisdom. In this way, you will always have a
guardian to watch over your body at night and prevent evil spirits from taking
possession of it. Anchor a good thought in your
mind when you go to bed and leave it to do its work during the night. Never go
to bed with a negative thought in your head, for it will wreak havoc in your
subconscious.

May the Angel of Earth take
all the wastes of my physical body and give them to
the earth, that she may absorb them and send them back to me in the form of
health and purity. May he cleanse my whole body so that Ii f~ may flow abundantly through my veins and arteries. May my whole being be free, light, and unburdened,
so that the kingdom of God and his righteousness may be established on earth and
the golden age dawn among men.
May the Angel of Water wash all stains from my heart. May selfless love
dwell in my heart, bringing me happiness, joy, and bliss. May my heart be pure, transparent, and
crystal clear, so that the kingdom of God and his righteousness may be
established on earth and the golden age dawn among men.
May the Angel of Air purify my intellect with an influx of wisdom and
light. May my thought become lucid, keen, and radiant, so that the kingdom of
God and his righteousness may be established on
earth and the golden age dawn among men.
And may the Angel of Fire,
who is none other than the Angel of the Sun, sanctify my soul and my spirit. May
absolute truth penetrate my whole being. May
my soul and my spirit know eternal life and be a
dwelling for divine creative omnipotence, so that the kingdom of God and his
righteousness may be established on earth and the golden age dawn among men.
