THE EGYPTIAN FIST

Description in a footnote in "the Power of Breath":

We make the so-called Egyptian Fist by first bending the fingertips towards the corresponding lower joints of the fingers. Then we make the thus bent fingers into a fist and lay the thumb over the fingers.  Nowhere is to be any tension; neither in the arm, nor in the fingers. The thumb will firmly keep everything together.

See Daily Reading june 3, 2000, by Omraam Mikhael Aïvanhov (Universal White Brotherhood): :

Of the fingers of our hand, the thumb specifically is connected with vitality and will-power, and often enough you may have been able to notice, that when man looses on or the other, his thumb will get paralyzed.

If you want to always keep your will alert and active, then get used to keep your thumb on the outside. Never make a fist by folding the thumb in. Just observe someone who is holding the thumb inside of the fist like that: soon he will get ill, or his affairs will go badly, because of his unstabile will. When the thumb is kept on the outside though, at an angle with the other fingers, that is a sign that it is gathering all its strength and offering resistance to this being spilled.
